The work
What panel upgrades actually involves
Your main panel takes power from the utility and splits it across every circuit in the house. Much of the East Valley still runs 100 or 150 amp service sized for a 1980s load, and modern life keeps stacking demands on it: two AC units, an induction range, a spa, an EV. An upgrade replaces the panel, and when needed the meter base and service conductors, with equipment rated for what your house actually pulls now, and it is the prerequisite conversation for most solar, battery, and EV charger projects.
When you need it
- →Breakers trip when two big appliances run at once
- →You want an EV charger, a battery, or solar and the panel has no room
- →The panel is a brand with a known failure record, like Federal Pacific or Zinsco
- →The panel is warm, buzzing, rusted, or shows scorch marks
- →An insurance or home inspection flagged the service equipment

Panel Upgrades questions
Yes, everywhere in the Valley, and the utility will not reconnect without the inspection. We pull the permit and meet the inspector; you never touch the paperwork.
