Blackout Electric is the crew Valley roofers call when solar panels are in the way of a reroof, and the one homeowners call when the company that installed their system is gone. Founded in 2023. Based in Mesa. Working statewide.

The founder
Sixty crews is a lot of roofs
Jonathan Garcia started at SolarCity at 19. By 21 he was a foreman with his own crew. When SolarCity became Tesla Energy he kept moving up, and by the end of his run he was the youngest project manager at Tesla Energy overseeing more than 60 crews in Nevada.
That job is a daily education in what goes wrong on solar jobs and what prevents it: sequencing, inspections, and the hundred small handoffs between trades. At 31 he left Tesla and put all of it into his own company. Blackout Electric opened in Mesa in 2023.
Blackout holds two Arizona ROC licenses: R-11 residential electrical, and CR-61 carpentry and remodeling. Detach and reset sits exactly where those two trades meet, which is why roofing companies across the Valley hand Blackout their solar work and get their decks back on schedule.
